On 9th September Oftsed announced that the new report card based inspection regime will commence in November 2025.

When inspections of state-funded schools begin in November, Ofsted has agreed with the Secretary of State to prioritise schools that volunteer for inspection – details of how to volunteer have not yet been released. Routine inspections will be introduced on or after 1 December, depending on the number of schools that volunteer.
