Minimum service levels in education consultation

The DfE is seeking views on introducing regulations to implement minimum service levels in education services in Great Britain during strike action. This is obviously hugely controversial and follows similar trends for other public services. Here is your chance to respond to the government’s proposals!

  1. Whilst strike action is admittedly detrimental to our children’s education, I cannot support this move by the Goverment to ‘hamstring’ the unions.

This is an entirely undemocratic proposal and yet another demonstration of the Government’s disgraceful and continuing refusal to enter into meaningful negotiations with the unions.

Our children’s education is of the utmost importance, but so is the retention of our amazing, yet underpaid teachers who we risk losing to sectors that can offer them fair remuneration.
