
Folling from the November Parental Engagement Report 2023 (reported on this site) the National Parent Survey, conducted by YouGov on behalf of Parentkind has just been published. You can download the report using the link below, and some of the main findings include:
- Over 2.8 million children live in households where their parents are struggling to afford the cost of sending them to school.
- More than 2.8 million children have experienced bullying; 1.6 million did not get sufficient support.
- 740,000 children have self-harmed at least once.
- 875,000 primary school children don’t have enough age-appropriate books at home.
- The top three concerns parents have for their children’s mental health and wellbeing:
- 1 Anxiety
- 2 Too much time spent on electronic devices
- 3 Exam stress
