These free interactive sessions provide pupils with useful information on a variety of topics:

Healthy Choices Workshop
A 1-2 hour workshop providing a greater understanding of a healthy balanced diet.

The workshop covers a range of food-related topics including healthy eating, 5 a day, understanding food labelling, perfect portions and food waste. Learning opportunities: team work, a greater understanding of 5 a day with a true or false session, looking at food packaging and understanding fat, saturated fats, sugar and salt content, how we can manage 'waste and how much food Is thrown away.

 Healthy Choices Shopping Challenge
A one hour activity inviting children 'into a local Central England Co-operative store. Students work in teams to shop on a set budget for a meal for four adults and scan items at the till. Learning opportunities: team work, a greater understanding of labels on products, budgeting, product awareness and a hands-on experience of shopping

Fairtrade and Co-operative History
A 30 minute presentation on Fairtrade and the Co-operative Movement and how they are linked.

Ethical Challenges in Store
A one hour activity inviting children into a local Central England Co-operative store. The students are given a question sheet relating to ethical products which can be found within the store, highlighting Fairtrade.
Learning opportunities: the environment, labelling, packaging, zero to landfill and a hands on experience of a supermarket.
